Need advice on products

Journal Entry: Wed May 22, 2013, 1:18 PM

I've started clean my place and trying to organize it as well, and I can across a special gift one of my brothers gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago. The gift is a plaster casting of Christopher Reeve's face as Superman and I would like to preserve it since the plaster has nothing on it so it's plaster coming off every time I touch it.

Does anyone have and Ideas on how I can protect it??

I was considering a painting a clear gell over it, or a protective spray.

Any advice on what to use would be appreciated.

Thanks

you're weird lol, with the ID :)

I want a fully poseable artists mannequin. Dammit lol. The ones I bought don't bend like a person would. Do they have artist hands?

What kind of mannequin did you get the wooden one??
I have a plastic one with details, but it doesn't bend like a human but it's close. I thing the Barbies with joints actually bend better but I haven't got on to find out. :D

Yes there are bendable mannequin wooden hands you can get but they don't bend like human hands either. I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago and found this out the hard way, but I do find it useful non the less with certain hand gestures. I mostly go for yawning my own hand or look for hand references here on DA first before going for the mannequin hand.

This is fucked up. You'd think someone would design a proper artists mannequin. I think it's out there, I just haven't found it. All the things they make for artists and they don't have a proper msnny? I don't buy it.

Btw, I have a Michael's 25 percent off your entire purchase coupon and am going to get some oil supplies to start oil painting.

Ya I know. You think there would be a proper artist mannequin out there that bends properly to a human but I haven't found one either. I've searched on line for years but the one I have seems to be the best ones out there.

Oil painting??
I've heard horror stories about oil painting so I've never tried it, and it wouldn't work for my style of painting anyways.
Good Luck in trying it out though. :)

We get those coupons here as well and your weekly ones of 40% off one item not on sale.
